Abstract The long-term goal of this project is to introduce the student in the area of Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetimes (QFTCS), which focus on analyzing the behavior of quantum fields in the presence of classical gravitational fields described by General Relativity (GR). Considering that the student is already familiar with the classical "component" of this ultimate goal, i.e., with the description of the gravitational field, now we aim at introducing him to the formalism of Quantum Field Theory (QFT). However, before that, we must lay the mathematical foundations upon which the QFT formalism is based. Therefore, we propose this project on Introduction to Functional Analysis to FAPESP. | |
