Abstract

This project has three objectives: 1) To introduce the undergraduate student to the theoretical and experimental aspects of the so-called Localized Waves, through the reproduction of Durnin experiment, which essentially, deals with the generation of Bessel beams of zero order. 2) To introduce the student into the basic aspects of free space optics communications through the implementation of a simple link operating with conventional Gaussian beams. And finally, 3) He will apply the experience gained in the generation of Bessel beams of zero order into the implemented simple link, and verify the improvement of its performance.
