Abstract

This research consists in the description and critical reflection over the methodological processes adopted by two projects in applied ethnomusicology. The first embraces activities in musical education and participative formation of musical archive with the Timbira Indians of Maranhão; the second includes several activities related to the formation of young researchers in ethnomusicology belonging to the community, the formation of participative musical archive and the cataloguing of cultural goods of Cachoeira and São Félix (Bahia).
