Abstract

This research will focus on the Psychiatric Reform and the information exchange with the professional practice of Social Service. The interest that this subject arose came from the increase of people with psychic pain as well as making this area as work space for Social Service, since it is a mediation profession which deals with the impacts of social issues. It will be conducted with the professionals working in the Social Service of on the Primary Attention Center Care for mental health in the city of Franca - SP. It aims to investigate how the professional practice of social services contributes to the realization of the Psychiatric Reform, as well as understanding how was the entry of the profession in the field of mental health and later in the network of Primary Attention Center Care of mental health. Taking into account the trajectory made by the movement of the Psychiatric Reform and Primary Care, aims to further analyze the meaning of the term "madness" for professionals working in the network of Primary Care Mental Health from Franca - SP, the methodology that will be used is the qualitative research, with references as support for the analysis of the interviews.
