Abstract

The aim of this in vitro study is to evaluate the effect of microabrasion followed by dental bleaching on enamel of bovine tooth chemical composition simultaneously. The buccal surface of ten incisors will be divided in 4 fragments and allocated in 4 different groups each one. Group 1 will be the control. Microabrasion will performed on group 2 using an abrasive paste prepared with 37% phosphoric acid and pumice. Group 3 specimens will receive bleaching material ligth ativated for 40 seconds using LED light. In group 4, microabrasion will be performed followed by dental bleaching. Mineral composition analysis will be performed by atomic absorption spectrometry. Data will be analysed by ANOVA test at 5% significance level.
