Abstract

The objective of this project is to developstudies concerning the effective dynamicsassociated with a pair of harmonic oscillatorsmediated by a single chaotic system with fewdegrees of freedom. Based on the quantum versionof the complete hamiltonian system, semiclassical equations of motion can be derivedfrom the Feynman-Vernon formalism for pathintegrals in open quantum systems. Severaldynamical properties present in applications offield theory may be subject to discussion andconfrontation, such as entropy and Liapunovexponent.
