Abstract

The main objective of this research project is to study the crystallization kinetics , quiescent and flow induced, isothermal and non-isothermal of polymeric nanocomposites with nanoparticles of different geometries, like halloysite (tubular, onedimensional), montmorillonite (lamelar, twodimensional) and zeolite (cubic, tridimensional).The nanocomposites will be prepared by melt intercalation, using a Haake rheometer. The crystallization kinetics will be studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarized light optical microscopy (PLOM) with heating and shear stage and parallel plates rheometry. (AU)
