Abstract

This project main objective is o simulate the flow over aeronautical airfoils with ice creation using computational fluid dynamics CFD. The geometry of the various ice formations will be obtained from the literature for the numerical calculation. A study of cost effectiveness of these simulations will be evaluated and compared with other type of simulations used for anti-icing and de-icing systems certification.
