Abstract

This project is conceived as an introduction to the study of modern poetry, specifically to the critical reading of two great poets founders of the poetic modernity: Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867), in France, and Gomes Leal (1848-1921), in Portugal. We'll be concerned with the investigation of tematic influences of the French poet and some rethoric proceedings of LES FLEURS DU MAL on CLARIDADES DO SUL of Gomes Leal, a very important but rather known poet among Brazilian academic milieu.
