Abstract Among the various poetic events that have developed in French literature in the last thirty years, we highlight the critical lyricism and postpoetry, different esthetic designs that have given a polemic controversy between poets and literary critics. This research intends to analyze the critical lyricism and postpoetry by using representative works and authors, respectively, Histoire du bleu (1992), of Jean-Michel Maulpoix and Les chiens noirs de la prose (1999), of Jean-Marie Gleize through the critical rereading that these works perform of modern poetry, particularly of the works of Baudelaire, Rimbaud and Mallarmé. This study will situate the critical lyricism and post-poetry as different modes of rereading of the modern tradition, investigating the mechanisms of internal construction, its influences and debates and the impact of differences between its esthetic designs for contemporary poetry. | |
