Metric analysis of scientific production of teachers of the Postgraduate Program information science at line of research "Organization of Information" of UNESP/MARÍLIA.

Abstract

The metric studies, including bibliometrics, are is a set of laws that quantitatively studying the behaviour of recorded information that can be used in institutional assessments, among others. Thus, aims to evaluate the scientific production of teachers of the Postgraduate Program, acting in the line of research "Organization of Information" of Unesp / Marília. To assess the scientific production of a particular group or institution becomes relevant to the extent that they will provide new guidelines and indicators for the feedback from these groups or institutions. The procedure of search will be quantitative / qualitative and analytical / descriptive, as instruments will be used to search the Internet and the Curriculum Lattes of 08 teachers who make up the line of research "Organization of Information" of the Postgraduate Program in Science of information Unesp / Marília. We selected 61 articles published in journals, 7 books and 57 chapters of books by authors of these teachers from the survey of its Resumes Lattes. It will be done with this production a metric analysis using the following variables: the researchers more productive, more frequent themes, journals where the articles were published, classification "Qualis, date of production, quantity of production per year for each of teaching, co-authorship and numerical indicators to allow better analysis of this study. It is expected provide subsidies for the development and planning of future activities of the Postgraduate Program in Science Information, especially in the line of research "Organization of Information" of Unesp / Marília.Keywords: Assessment of the Scientific Production, Post-Graduate; Organization of Information; Studies Metric.
