Project of monograph - DHb/CCBS - Universidade Federal de São Carlos. The limitless exploration of the nature for the being - human it was based, for much time, in anthropocentric and utilitarian values, what it evidenced its ideological separation with its proper environment. For the development of an environmental paradigm, in the attempt to more construct a world balanced in all its dimensions, meeting and conferences between diverse countries had been carried through that had stimulated the Ambient Education when establishing strategies and principles related to the subject. In the perspective to include the human being to its environment, being necessary, for this, to include the social and cultural dimensions in projects pedagogical politicians, if they detach the studies of the environmental perception as significant strategy for the action more effective of the projects elaborated in the thematic one of the environmenal Education. This project of research intends to carry through a study of the environmental perception of the different involved percipient groups in the Project Brotar, that it acts in the Hidrográfica Basin of Córrego Água Quente (BCAQ), pertaining to the city of São Carlos/São Paulo, searching to analyze the relation it enters the different perceptions in relation to the green area of this basin and the sociao-cultural context where the people are inserted. For this, it is intended to trace the partner-cultural profile of the involved social actors in the project Brotar, to identify the perceptions in relation to the green area of the BCAQ and its possible relations with the social context of the interviewed people, as well as identifying the conceptions of environment of each percipient group and verifying a possible dialogue between them. For the partner-cultural characterization a specific questionnaire for each percipient group of the project - academic group, pertaining to school group and local group - and for the inquiry of the ambient perception will be applied will be used qualitative interviews of depth and the technique of focal group.
