Abstract

The management of grazing is characterized by the frequency and intensity of defoliation it determines sward structure that conditioning the response of plants by grazing animal. The intensity of defoliation increases with the rate capacity of the pasture or with the herbage allowance that affects strongly the structure of sward, the forage intake and, the action of the animals on grazing. Nowadays, some of the most important aspects to understanding the ecophysiology of herbage plants by ecosystems of pastures are associated to the organic compounds, patterns of light interception, sward architecture, leaf area index , tillering that are controlled through the mechanism of compensation population size/ density of tillers, binomial grazing intensity-frequency, morphogenesis of fabrics and the dynamics of the matter accumulation evaporates, in what he/she concerns the universe of the answers of the forage plant in relation to the condition of the pasture. Already the behavior ingestive, the patterns of animal behavior, the nutritional value of the presented forage and the individual acting of the animal, they refer to the universe of the answers of the animal in relation to the condition of the pasture. The present research project has for objective measure height and to quantify the forage mass, the carbohydrates tenors don't structure and the fractions reservation nitrogenous (total N, soluble N, N amino acids, N ammonium and N nitrate) of pastures of Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu and Brachiaria brizantha cv. Xaraés, submitted at four levels of forage offer (4, 7, 10 and 13% of the weight alive animal) in capacity rotated. The experiment will be accomplished in the section of Forage, in area of the Department of Animal Science of FCAV/UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP, in the period of March of 2009 to May of 2010. The used design will be entirely randomized with four treatments, corresponding to the four forage offers and three repetitions. (AU)
