Abstract

This project was design to evaluate the serum levels of cortisol and prolactina in Nelore cows (Bos taurus indicus) submitted the daily or weekly management. Twelve adults cows of the São Manuel Experimental Farm - FMVZ - UNESP (Manuel-SP), with body score equal or superior the 3 (scales from 0 to 5), will be used. The selected females, with ages between 3 and 14 years and post partum period superior to 40 days, will be raised with hay, corn and mineral supply ad libitum. The cows will be randomly distributed to two groups. The daily managed animals will be called Daily group and the weekly managed cows will be called weekly group. In all managente moments will be collected samples of blood, destined to the dosages of the serum concentrations of cortisol and prolactina. (AU)
