Abstract

This project aims to define standards of physical analysis (characteristic diameters, sphericity, density, porosity, and morphology), chemical (elemental analysis) and thermal residue (moisture, volatile, ash, fixed carbon content) and to analyze the fluid dynamics of mixtures of solids (biomass + inert), which assist in the burning of biomass, the wood was chosen jatoba (Hymenaea sp.) as an example of study. The results will be included in a comprehensive database, defined by the properties of the waste material (biomass), for their use in new projects and processes.
