Abstract The present project proposes an introduction of the candidate to elementary particle physics, with emphasis on the strong interactions between quarks, described by QCD. In particular, in the case of heavy quarks one may use a non-relativistic approach and search for a numerical solution of Schrödinger's equation for the determination of the bound states of the system. In this way, the introduction to the literature of the field may be complemented by a practical example. | |
