Abstract

The capacity of gererating computational meshing, suitable for a domain discretization, is one of the most important factors to resolve problems using the CFD method. The goal of this project is to develop strategies to generate computational meshing - using several methods for a domain discretization - which are capable to describe the flow around the elements of rotors and stators of a turbofan engine, aiming to minimize the number of elements at the same time that maintain the capability of caracterization of aerodynamical phenomena of interests. This study involves the problem modeling; the study of critical flow regions; the discretization and adjustment of domain aiming the goals of the project. It is expected that these strategies help the construction of a meshing suitable for aeroacoustic simulations.
