Abstract

The search for quality of life (QOL) is now an ideal among thousands of people around the world and now this subject has been studied in different areas of knowledge. Thus, one can see it in various sizes, each with its due importance to people's lives. QoL has several meanings, according to World Health Organization (WHO), one of "the individual's perception of their position in life in the context of culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns ". The discovery of indices of quality of work life (QWL) can provide information on factors that directly affect the satisfaction and personal and collective motivation, improving the excellence of the structure and service. Quality of life is fundamental to the nursing staff, including the well-being of the professional is reflected in a comprehensive care and better quality. It is then important to approach the quality of life of nursing personnel in a health organization that has as a fundamental quality of the search through the hospital accreditation process as stipulated in the National Accreditation Organization (ONA) that aims to deployment and implementation of a process of improving health care, thus stimulating the services to achieve higher standards of quality.
