Abstract

In magnetic confinement using reversed field configuration the major loss mechanism is due to particle escaping from closed field region. In this proposal this loss will be studied using Faraday cups placed at open field line region at end region of the FRC. Combining this current mapping with previous magnetic field line mapping at same region we will have a clear description of particle loss dynamics in the FRC. (AU)
