Abstract

The organizations challenge about to become valuable and accessible what they know is one of the worries in this project. The knowledge management (KM) uses models, methods, techniques and tools with the objective of to propitiate a positive culture in relation of generation, socialization and use of knowledge, as well to elaborate the systematization of the knowledge, becoming it available to use and access. Between the models for this systematization we have the 'knowledge maps' that propitiate the organization to know who produce knowledge, how it is produced and how it can be use in benefit of the organization. In this way, the main focus of this project is to know exhaustively the knowledge maps, its functioning and its application in the organizational ambit. This research is of qualitative nature, of descriptive-exploratory kind, whose approach applied will be to triangulation that utilizes different techniques for data collect in the reality observed in this research. Initially it will seek in the international and national literature to go deep in the theme, as well in some use experience accounts about application model. After, we hope to get enough subsidies to support a 'knowledge map' propose for a university. The knowledge maps can guarantee a better precision for the informational answers, beyond to guarantee more trustworthiness and consistency in the recouped contents for the people that work in this organization.
