Abstract

The patient record is important document for the health field, but historically, it was not to study by the information science. Then, this study objective to map and to characterize the terminologies in patient record, observing these effectively employed in this typology of document. It intends to observe the terminological phenomena that can hinder the circulation and transference of information between the members of health staff and between the health staff and the patients. The present study start of the assumption that the languages used in information organization need harmony for better effective of information retrieval. The project has like empirical object records of patients between 0 and 18 years old attend in HC-Criança of Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto of the Universidade de São Paulo. (AU)
