Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the institutional assistance and clinic-epidemiology characteristics relating children enrolled in public and philanthropic day-care nurseries and to propose cost-effectives strategies to health promotion sustained in hypothetical models informed complex data analyses from Brazilian operational research project and others available sources. "Projeto Crecheficiente" step I and II data will be analyzed through statistic methodology intend to find integration lines between quantitative clinic-epidemiology data and described process in the qualitative evaluation like a data integrated analyze. Thus, will be looking for susceptive situations and areas to promote changes and, consequently to guide infant health promotion actions. In order to get the objectives from the present study and to develop the proposal methodology, interaction activities will be performed with the group of researchers from Epidemiology and Population Health Academic Department - University of London - are going to permit the learned to recognize and complete spaces in the knowledge as the health care promoting at day care centers and similar institutions. Moreover, there is a plan to visit day care centers and English children assistance equipments serving like a care alternative to support parents to offer them that for any reason aiming observation and recognition of the performed practices, offered assistance characteristics and the function major objective, like a strategy to find the ideal criterions for the better assistance. Finally, there will be specific academic activities in meetings and seminaries and knowledge interchange with the five units from the Department approach, which present expertise to contribute effectively with this project objective: Centre for Population Studies; Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Unit; Medical Statistics Unit; Non-communicable Disease Epidemiology Unit; Nutrition and Public Health Intervention Research Unit.
