Abstract

The present project is designed to rethink the analytical frameworks normally used to explain the determinants of firms decision to invest abroad. It intends to map, examine and ponder the more recent literature on the field of emergent multinationals and its implications for developing countries. It will approach the internationalization process conducted by a selected group of global Latin American companies taking into account a variety types of Governmental support to companies through public policies and public incentives.
