Abstract

Syntactic negation and specially the position of the particle nicht are challenging themes not only for apprendices of German as a foreign language, but also for teachers and researchers of the German grammar. This project will apply a new line of studies about the relationships between negation, informational structure, focus and prosody, through an empiric survey from authentic German dialogues. (AU)
