Abstract

The methods considered in Survival Analysis have been extended in several ways. In this study, we consider the association of some of those methods with information related to the Quality of life of patients. Such scenario brings up the modeling considering multistate models that make use of (Semi) Markov chains. Some assumptions have been considered in ealier works to deal with such situation. Heterogeneity of the population is modeled by considering a Cox type of model. In this work we try to relax some of these assumptions related to independence and identically distributed sojourn times. (AU)
