Abstract

Assuming the general framework of the Principles and Parameters Theory (see Chomsky 1981, 1986, Chomsky and Lasnik 1993, among others) in its recent minimalist formulations (see Chomsky 1995, 2000, 2001, 2004, the aim of this project is two investigate two independent questions: (i) the nature of adjunction structures within the bare phrase structure model; and (ii) the lack of passives of subject control verbs.
