Abstract

The research project aims at developing experimental and quasi-experimental procedures for the investigation of cultural practices, in accordance with the behavior analytical paradigm. Experiments will be conducted in laboratory settings with adults, and reports of social / cultural experiences by authors not identified with Psychology will be analyzed. Results will be interpreted in terms of interlocking contingenceis and metacontingencies and their role in the selection, retention, and evolution of analogs of cultural practices. (AU)
