Abstract

The tropical marine can be a great source of microorganism with biological activities, this project will be developed in Dr. Fenical research group at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in UCLA. The project aimed to explore the antitumor-antibiotics from Bahamas marine bacteria and to developed tropical marine fungi as a novel source from new bioactives agents, in particular the secondary metabolites of these microorganism and the structure elucidation of novel antitumor -antibiotics compounds using one or two NMR, IR and mass spectroscopy will be target.
