Abstract

The aim of this scientific research project is to develop a pedagogical proposal related to History teaching, specifically about the Brazilian Civil-Military Dictorship (1964/1989), based on three films by the Brazilian filmmaker Lúcia Murat: “Almost brothers” ( “Quase dois irmãos”) (2004), “A long Journey” (“Uma longa viagem”) (2011) and “Memory they told me (“A memória que me contam”) (2013). Therefore, it was done some studies about the new technologies of information on Education, the relationship between cinema, education and teaching, and about the dialogues between History and History teaching. The film analysis required the selection of frames and the identification of central themes. This research was conducted in UNESP/IBILCE/São José do Rio Preto, and it presents a qualitative approach and applied nature and it aims to reconcile description and explanation, using for that first-hand bibliographical and documental research. The research also used analysis result by means of specific methodological exam of the films. For this, it was made an internal analysis (of the film itself, since it is an individual and singular work), based on a multivariate interpretation, concerned with textual, content and poetical aspects of the picture and sound. The analysis also applied frames. (AU)
