Abstract

The aim of this work is the theoretical and experimental studies of stress losses in stress-laminated timber bridges using reforestation species. For this purpose, creep in compression perpendicular to the grain and relaxation of stressed groups were analysed with different variables. The idea was to evaluate these structures using laboratory decks. Finally, the results were systematised and incorporated to design software. That procedure will allow an automatic and quick design of these structures and it serves as a transfer mechanism of the knowledge. (AU)
