Abstract

Our study examines the testimonies of women who fought as militants, were captured, became political prisoners or had their lives, in some form or another, crossed by the horrors of the Terrorisms of the Brazilian and Argentine State. We explore the uniqueness of these narratives through a double perspective, based both on memory studies, in particular that of witness accounts, as well as feminist criticism. Stemming from the subjective impact caused by the traumatic experience of these women narrators, we seek to highlight the relationships among subjectivity, memory and gender. As a space of subjective reconstruction, the writing and audiovisual creations are considered forms of resistance which are potentially subversive to patriarchal logic (AU)
