Abstract

This work is concerned with production planning problems. In its first part, two particular problems in production programming are revised: A Practical Approach To Lot And Setup Scheduling At A Textile Firm and, A Production Scheduling Problem In An Automated Cast. The remainder part of this work is devoted to general lot sizing modeling and a new model is presented, for which a Lagrangean rela:ration-based solution method is proposed. (AU)
