| Abstract | |
The present research inquire the violonistic work of Egberto Gismonti through the records contained in the album Dança das Cabeças (ECM Records: 1977) and seek to investigate relations between his instrument¿s structure, techniques employed, discursive content, as well questions referring to the context. Thus intends to position the obtained results in the trajectory of this musician and in the segment in which it was launched. The methodological steps starts from a total transcription of track "Part I", selected excerpt, and follow to a description of the style employed by means of a immersion in the structure of the material from the parameters: 1) compositional procedures, 2) sonorities, 3) musical topics and 4) intertextuality.
