Abstract

Previous studies have shown positive results of the phototherapy on the improvement of performance and post-exercise recovery acceleration. However, the effects of phototherapy from diferente types of exercise and adjusted to a model of training remain unclear. From systematic review with meta-analysis it was concluded that the available evidence suggest that phototherapy has beneficial effects on the management of CK activity and demonstrate a possible relationship based on damage caused by exercise, providing a greater effect in studies that used localized exercise. The randomized clinical trial revealed that twelve weeks of combined training of sprints and squat improve some functional outcomes and increase of vascular endothelial growth factor concentration; however, no evidence was found that phototherapy applied during training promotes additional effects.
