Abstract

This dissertation consists in an investigation which aims to observe the thematic of gender relations in the forth century Athens, more specificaly the female presence and its means of participating in the city, through the analysis of the forensic speeches and of the historiography. Concepts such as ideologic discourses, experiences and social roles, will be discussed as a way to reach the plurality of everyday life and women´s universe at Athens. (AU)
