Abstract | |
The aim of this work is to propose interpretative guidelines for the performance of six songs of Brazilian composer Ernst Mahle (1929), with special focus on the pianistic procedure. The songs are: Rosamor (1966), with text by Guilherme de Almeida; E agora, José? (1971), with text by Carlos Drummond de Andrade; Leilão de Jardim (1971), with text by Cecília Meireles; Categiró (1972), with text by Cassiano Ricardo; Elegia (1980), with text by Ribeiro Couto; O Pato (1993), with text by Vinicius de Moraes. To understand the compositional procedures - in particular, to build up a pianistic performance close to what the composer proposed - the following analytical process was undertaken: the study of the lyrics, the musical structure, the inter relationship between lyrics and musical procedures, the interpretation aspects, and the composer's pianistic approach. The results achieved through the work contributed significantly for the performance of the songs that were recorded on the attached CD (AU) | |
