Abstract

This study proposes a comparison between the works of Rubem Braga and Jacques Prévert since their writings closely share several elements, from formal choices and adherence to popular daily life to the hybridism of their productions, which move between journalism and cinema. In fact, both developed their writing as journalists and screenwriters, respectively. Both developed their writing through their professions as journalists and screenwriters, respectively. In this way, we are interested in investigating how this shift in the poetic process had repercussions on their productions. We believe that this conception has shaped their paths in literature and is responsible for the original progression of their writing. In this way, we intend to compare the two works, highlighting the points of encounter and disagreement, and thereby, albeit indirectly, reflect on the cultural dynamics of Brazil and France (AU)
