Abstract

There were implemented the function of reactive and tensions control and supervision of transformers lifetime in a specific system of automation of electric substation. The automation provides advantages regarding to conventional systems, such as greater velocity, greater capacity of information processing and remote operation of equipments. The reactive control, nowadays, is made by the insertion of capacitors bank in certain time table. The proposed system switches on the capacitors bank automatically if the reading of the power of the bars makes it necessary and if the number of diary operations allows it. Currently, the tap control of transformers in most of the concessionaires is manual. In this system, the tap commutation is automatic, verifying the value of tension in the transformers secondary. The change at the transformers is supervised by the operator and relays of temperature, when the temperature (oil or winding) overtakes a certain limit, an automatic system of relays switches on fans and pumps for forced circulation. The implementation of the supervision function allows to switch on the ventilation before reaching the adjust temperature, when the estimated value of charge that occur is know. The program routines were developed in C language and the screens of interface man-machine were developed with the InTouch software. A model of this system was set up for analysis of its behavior at the substation ETD Ponta Porã. (AU)
