Abstract

Nowadays, observing the tennis matches, we can note a rising use of aces. Therefore, this motivates the study on tennis serve. Serve is a technical element which highly determines the player\'s performance. Considering the complex structure of this movement, it is necessary methodology approach that associates different types of biomechanics analysis: dynamometry and electromyography. The most of studies about the tennis performance don\'t mention the use of feet during a serve execution. The leg\'s drive have an important function on serve effectiveness, and describe the most practiced serve techniques: Foot-back and Foot-up. So, this study refers to the possible impact from the leg\'s drive during the tennis serve. The objective of this study is to stablish a methodology that can be able to determine dynamic and electromyographic characteristics using the two different techniques of feet position during the serve. The data was collected from ten men, who had all dominion of the serve\'s technique. For measuring the dynamics data, a KISTLER force platform was used. Electromyographics parameters were obtaining using a DELSYS electromyography. The results have shown relevant differences between the techniques Foot-back and Foot-up to the all biomechanics variables (AU)
