Abstract

Induction motor control presents many problem due to nature of the high nonlinear characteristic of the electromechanical system and the degree of coupling of the equations. Industrial servo system control design hás long tradition on dealing with linear system and linear models. It is desired that induction motor can be represented by linear decoupled model. The aim of this thesis is to presents the problem of linearization and simplification of the induction motor models. A comparison of two possibilities linearization process is realized. Also the possibility of employing symbolic computation to help along the analysis of representation of the induction motor model and linearization problem is investigated. In this work we illustrate the use of MAPLE package by applying it to the nonlinear model deduction and the problem of linearization. (AU)
