Abstract

This research project develops a proposal for a system for managing and analyzing large volumes of data, focused on aerosol data management within the context of digital transformation and smart and sustainable cities. The system aims to support decision-making processes, including those related to the application of soil remediation methods, emergency actions, and other types of interventions carried out by specialists and/or relevant entities. As case studies, atmospheric data from the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement program and monitored data from contaminated soil areas at USP-Leste were used. These datasets are characterized by their large volume, potentially obtained through sensor technologies that generate new data in real time. The nature of the information is also highly diverse, ranging from historical data to physicochemical analyses of materials present in the investigated areas. Given these characteristics, the data are used in studies that propose an information architecture focused on analysis and management, employing a methodology based on the data lifecycle and data science within a Big Data context.
