| Abstract | |
This study tries to discuss some aspects of the history of technique in São Paulo. To attempt this purpose it will use a great variety of historical sources in dialogue with some areas of knowledge. The main goal of this work is to prove that this kind of research can improve the understanding of our own historical past. The analysis of the technical phenomena studied in these pages has the intention to see them as important elements of the Brazilian cultural heritage too. Through the description of their characteristics in our country, and of their development in a specific context, this work wants, finally, to criticize some vulgar opinions about these technical facts (AU) | |
