Abstract

This work opens with a short summary of the formulations for analysis of plane elasticity, plate bending according to the theory due to Kirchhoff and some models of plasticity. The integral equations of plate bending and plane elasto-plastic problems are developed and its implementation on Boundary Element Method is discussed (BEM). Some time-step integrators for dynamic analysis are presented and they are combined with the BEM. An algorithm, based on sub-region technique, for analysis of thin-walled structures is presented and the consideration of inertia and plastic effects are discussed. Some examples of structures on elastic and elasto-plastic regimen, under static and dynamic equilibrium, are presented. (AU)
