| Abstract | |
The work investigates the leper colonies that, during decades on the 20th century, served to the compulsory isolation of the people with hansen in the state of Sao Paulo, following hygienic precepts. It looks to recognize directives and references that orientated the projects of urbanism and architecture of these asylums\' institutions. The subject remounts to the influences of the power, of the exclusion, of the discipline and of the stigmas, on the creation and use of a space model, resulting in different facts that defined the existence and image of its occupants.
