| Abstract | |
The present research projects aim is to investigate the development of the stage lightning language in its relation with the ways of stage performance. The central aspect is the transformation of the function of stage lightning, from a visibility instrument to structural and structuring stage language. Through a broad approach over theatress History and aesthetics, I intent to point out the exemplary works, in order to describe this transformation process and its variables, stablishing concepts for a specific analysis of stage lightining. The dissertation covers a time period which goes from the usage of fire until the theatrical revolution, emphasizing the years in between 1880 to 1914. (AU) | |
