The present invention relates to a method for obtaining lipid nanostructures comprising copper-isoniazid compounds. In addition, the present invention relates to the lipid nanostructures comprising copper-isoniazid compounds obtained by the present method, and to the use thereof to prepare medicinal drugs against mycobacteria in general. In a preferred embodiment, the invention relates to the use of the lipid nanostructures comprising copper-isoniazid compounds obtained by the present method, preferably MEB-I3 and MEB-I1, to prepare medicinal drugs for the treatment of active and latent tuberculosis, respectively.
