Abstract

(EN) The present invention describes a method for increasing the tolerance of plants to drought, which is imparted by overexpression of the gene ScbHLH47, which is homologous to the gene AtbHLH4 7 of Arabidopsisthaliana. Furthermore, the invention can be extended to the homologous genes of other plant species. Furthermore, the invention relates to the transgenic plants produced, comprising the sugarcane ScbHLH47 polynucleotide sequence.
