Osvandre Alves Martins

Osvandre Alves Martins received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science from FIPP/UNOESTE (1994). He is an Information Systems Specialist by UFSCar/FEMA (1997), and he also received his Master (2004) and Doctor (2011) in Science degrees from ITA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - Aeronautics Institute of Technology), both in the Informatics Area of the Electronic and Computer Engineering Program. He performed part of his doctoral research and study program, involving Air Traffic Management Support Systems, at the ILR (Institute für Luft- und Raumfahrt) of TU-Berlin (Technische Universität Berlin) in Germany. Now he is a Professor at IFSP (Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo - São Paulo Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology) performing activities about teaching in ICT (Information and Communications Technologies), extension, and Research and Development (R&D) in Computer Systems with application in automations, including Robotics . In order to improve his knowledge and skills as a teacher he received the training Vocational Education and Training (VET) Teachers for the Future at TAMK (University of Applied Sciences) in Finland. In parallel to his education he gained professional experience by working on Research & Development (R&D) Projects about computerized systems as well as working on Information Technology management and services market. In such R&D projects he played roles related to Software Engineering, including the following: methodologies customization and deployment; selection, application and deployment of production process and tools; systems analysis and design; and programming. As samples, it is possible to highlight the following systems types he worked on: Vehicle Tracking and Telemetry Systems; ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning); Geographic Information Systems; Fraud Detection Support Systems (to the Brazilian Federal Revenue); Unmaned Aerial Vehicles, Control Crew Station, and Avionics embedded software; and Video Surveillance Systems.
