Erik Chiconelli Gomes holds a Postdoctoral degree in Philosophy and General Theory of Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and is currently conducting postdoctoral research at the Institute of Economics of the University of Campinas (Unicamp), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Denis Maracci Gimenez, within the framework of the Postdoctoral Researcher Program (PPPD). He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economic History from USP, with research focused on the History of Labor Justice. His doctoral dissertation was awarded the 2024 CNJ Prize for Memory of the Judiciary (III Prêmio CNJ Memória do Poder Judiciário). Since 2023, he has been a professor at Faculdade Lumina, teaching in the Law and Accounting programs, and serves as Academic Coordinator at the Higher School of Advocacy of the São Paulo Bar Association (ESA OAB/SP), leading research on Law, Innovation and Technology, the Profile of the São Paulo Legal Profession, and the Future of Legal Practice. He is also a specialist in Labor Economics (Unicamp, 2016) and Labor Law (USP, 2018). He holds undergraduate degrees in Social Sciences (USP, 2008), Law (USP, 2017), History (USP, 2020), and Geography (University of Brasília, 2025). His areas of expertise include History, Social Sciences, Law, and Labor Economics, with an emphasis on the Economic History of Labor, Labor Law, Unionism, and Subjectivities in the world of work.
