He received his BSc and PhD in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo, São Carlos, Brazil. He was a visiting scholar in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University, Tempe, USA, in 2016. His research interests are data science, machine learning, complex networks, and complex systems. Currently, he is the Scientific Director of Instituto Curvelo, where he leads Research Development initiatives in computer systems, embedded systems, and manufacturing and automation. He also serves as an Affiliate Professor at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) and the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
